iga nephropathy hematuria

Hello! My doctor told me that I have the following problem. What I want to know something basic about it. I have iga nephropathy disorder. I would like to know is the hematuria one of the causes for this disease? Maybe I make mistake? Thanks for your advice or possible opinion.
