How soon I can get period after ovulation?

We have been trying to get bregnat for a few months. Five days ago my body temp. went up (ovulation?), and have not have s..since. Now I am getting spot bleeding and my temp is still up. Would this too early to have my period just after 5-7 days after ovulation? Thanks
