I have very irregular menstration

i lost my menstration about three to four years ago, doctors told me that if i stayed on the concerptive pill that the period would return, this i did for a while, i have stopped and so has the period, i have not been able to get pregnant either.Code:

no periods for 3.5 years

Please give me info on why I haven't had a period in 3.5 years, I'm 49 years old, overweight, diabetic. However, when my Doc has a hormonal check on me they state it is normal. P.S. I feel bloated and my stomach sticks out like I'm 9 months along. Thanks.
