I had my period three days late and am bleeding bright red blood with not a lot of heavy discharge. A week before I did have unprotected sex with my boyfriend. He did not finish inside me, but I am wondering what might be causing the symptoms.

my last period was on 24th april, i had unprotected sex on 1st and 3rd of may. But i took the next morning pill on both times. i should have had my period on 21st of may, but i had it on 11th.. could it be pregnancy? or miscarriage? please help
