mucosy w/blood clot period

i am 18 and sexually active, for the past 3 or 4 periods i've noticed that it has changed from being a regular blood flow with a few clots to a very mucus and with a lot of blood clots period. please any help with this? could it be serious?

I have very unusual perion?
