Smelly liquid coming out of my boyfriends nose.

Hi. I boyfriend wakes up at least once a night from this smelly yellow liquid pouring out of his nose. It smells so bad it makes me gag. Like im scared to kiss him because I don't want to get the liquid on me. It's really nasty. Does anyone know what this could be?

Atrophic rhinitis-what can you tell me about it?
