taking femara for a month did not ovulate?

I have had my first cycle of femara and did not ovulate. my GYN doctor says that it is normal and I hopefully with ovulate next month. Is this normal?. I am taking the 2.5 for 5 days is that enough?. My other question is what is my chance of having twins or more?.
