I recently had a rectocele and cystocele repair done. In reading the pathology report it stated that they diagnosed a Benign Squamous Mucosa. What is this? So my problem was more than a rectocele?

No. Benign squamous mucosa is just a microscopic description of the piece of skin lining the vagina that your surgeon removed as part of the repair. The pathologist is reporting that this piece appeared normal under the microscope. Pathologists examine tissue removed in surgery as a safety precaution even when it is expected to be normal.
