Blood stained discharge after Pessary

I used a Canesten Pessary to treat vaginal thrush last week and 2 days later experienced watery, blood stained discharge & tummy/back cramps. This seems to have stopped now. Does anyone know if this is a side effect of the treatment? Many Thanks!
