Sedatives (depressants) are drugs that that suppress the central nervous system, causing the body to slow down and relax, relieving anxiety and producing sleep. The most commonly used/abused are barbiturates (Amytal, Nembutal, Seconal, phenobarbital) and benzodiazepines (Ativan, Halcion, Librium, Valium, Xanax, Rohypnol) but also chloral hydrate, glutethimide (Doriden), methaqualone and meprobamate. Talk about sedative dependence on this forum.

Has anyone had a real bad experience with withdrawals from klonopin? Like feeling like you cant breath, severe anxiety-almost like u are gonna jump out of your skin feeling, severely aggitated/irritated, chest pain, etc? What can you do to ease the symptoms? And how long does the withdrawal last?
