Yes, that is true. I was taking 10-15 mg a day of xanex for over two years when I was 27 years old and stopped cold turkey because I couldnt get anymore xanex from anyone and it was the worst 3 months of my life! I had 5 seizures and felt like c**p for 12 days and then I got extremely depressed. The worst part about it wasnt the first couple of days which were horrible,but after about a week when my mind was messing with me so bad. I couldnt even think straight for about a month,like if I was writing a letter it made no sense what so ever. I was having panic attacks every couple of days, and it felt like my heart was going to explode. I would suggest weaning off of them slowly and just keep telling yourself that it will get better. Also I would exercise and stay busy as much as you can to tired yourself out so that you fall asleep easy at night. Thats one drug that I will never touch again in my life, I had a prescription but didnt really need them I wish I would have been more educated on Benzo's. Good luck
