Stupid question but is it ok to masturbate while taking medicine for Chlamydia?

I been given doxycycline for Chlamydia. Its 14 tablets taking 2 tablets a day. Since I can't have sex I was wondering if it is ok to masturbate. I know this has potential to be a really stupid question but just wondering if it could prevent the medicine from treating me like it should.
