Smooth, slightly hard lump on my inner thigh

Taking a shower this morning I noticed a weird lump high on my inner thigh, near my groin. It is slightly ovoid, about a centimeter in diameter. It is a dark purple-red color, quite smooth (shines under light), and is somewhat hard to the touch. It does hurt, but only if pressure is applied directly...

lump on tip of finger

Please help me! My three year old daughter fell over on the kitchen floor yesterday and apart from having her teeth go through her lips, she also got this great big bruised lump on her finger, near the tip. I am worried it could be serious and am considering a trip to the ER. What do you think?
