I had inguinal surgery 3 days ago and I haven't had a bowel movement any suggestions ?

I had ingunial hernia surgery 3 days ago and I haven't had a bowel movement . My diet has consisted of plenty of fluids fiber fruits and vegetables is this normal? Or is there something I could do?
