i have found a soft lump in my scrotum

i am 16 and very recently found a lump at the top of my scrotum. the lump is soft and not attached to any testical. at first i thought it may be cancer but now believe is more likely to be some form of cyst. please reply stating whever you think its cancer or not and what i should do thankyou
