strep throat question

I am currently taking antibiotics for strep throat. I know that I am no longer contagious, but I have already been around my 16 month old daughter for a week with symptoms! How long until I know that she is not going to get sick?

I cough up a lot of phlegm in the morning mostly, when I brush my teeth I usually gurgle to get it away and then it sort of comes out instantly like vomit.. even after doing that more is to come that day! it always screws up the way i talk and makes my voice 'break'(?)i have to cough to get it out...

nagging cough

My boyfriend has been having those symptoms for a few days, and I think they've only gotten worse. He just took his temperature, and it was 99.4. I know I might be over-reacting a little, becasue those symptoms could be anything, but I just want to make sure he's alright. He's 17, if that helps....
