My friend had a tumor in the rib and it was operated. The biopsy result suggested that it was due to thyroid cancer. However the nuclear scan of thyroid showed that there was no sympton of thyroid cancer. Then what would be it? How to proceeed futhre?

thyroid cancer with extracapsular extensions

o.O I had a recent thyroidectomy and some lymph nodes removed due to papillary thyroid cancer. 2 of my nodules had extracapsular extensions, is there anyone out there that had this, too and was cleared after one surgery and one RAI treatment? Or am I destined to have continued recurrences?
