had Tonsillectomy done and having Burning Sensation in my throat a week later

Hi, I'm 17 years of age and got my tonsillectomy 7 days ago. Most of my scabs have fallen of but I'm really struggling to eat and drink due to the burning feeling in the throat. Can anyone recommend  anything to get rid of this pain other than pain meds.

Post tonsil surgery bleeding, my son had 2 surgeries

My four year old is on day 10 for her left side and day 4 for her right side. After a piece of her scab on right side fell off too early leaving her with a second surgery to re coterize and stop horrible bleeding! Has anyone else had this problem?
