i had tonsillitis 2 weeks ago, started ten day course of penicillin tablets, it went away after 4 days hower two days after finishing the 10 day course my tonsills have become enlarged again, this is the first time i've had tonsillitiis since childhood.

I am 48 yr old male, and i get strap thoart 2/3 times every winter, doc says he wld not attempt to remove my tonsils that i was too old. but i keep a burning sensation in the back of my thorat and have to clear it constantly. is this a dangerous precedure for my age.
