pain in back and left side

Hi Cindy,  I have sometimes have pain in my left side under the ribs. It goes from the front to the back. I also sometimes have severe pain in my mid back after I eat. I never have the side pain and the back pain together. Thanks

upper abdomin tenderness, pain, nausia

For several years I have been experiencing upper abdoninal pain and tenderness to the touch. If I touch the area of discomfort it gets worse and I become nauseated. At times my stools are black and I take Zantac which seems to help.

okay so this is probably going to be confusing to read. but my stomach has pretty much always hurt. after a meal, before a meal, and even when i dont have anything in my stomach. my symptoms dont seem to match an ulcer, or..anything serious. it doesnt happen all the time, sometimes it doesnt hurt...
