This is the "new" Producers, based on Mel Brooks' Broadway play. It Stars Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Uma Thurman and Will .. If you are familiar with the original Producers, you'll know about 90% of the lines. I was very pleasantly surprised at the excellent musical numbers. In fact, even my wife has enjoyed the film. I was even more amazed that Mel Brooks is credited as the writer of the lyrics. At times, the movie is reminiscent of the "old" Broadway musicals like 42nd Street. For the added anjoyment of die hard Mel Brooks fans, there's a couple of throwaway lines from Mel Brooks' previous films like Blazing Saddles. Enjoy !!
