I remember a band called "Rank and File"......cowpunk is what they called it....a legendary Austin musician Alejandro Escovedo was in it.....set the tone for lots of alt country to come.....Alejandro was later in a band called True Believers with Jon Dee Graham who was in a early Austin punk band the Skunks who opened for the Ramones back in the day.....lot's of history there....
