I had an abortion about 6 weeks ago. I wasn't able to go back for my post abortion appointment and at 5 weeks after the abortion they told me to go but i had gotten my period. Now Im wondering if i still need to get checked up if i already got my period.?

I had an abortion a little over a month ago. I started taking the pill a few weeks after the abortion, and have had unprotected sex since then. I started my period yesterday, but took have been taking pregnancy tests and they all come out positive. does anyone know what this could mean?
