Antianxiety Drugs (Sedatives)

Antianxiety drugs depress the central nervous system and suppress anxiety, sleepiness and relax muscles. They are also called downers or minor tranquilizers. When abused, many of these drugs can lead to unconsciousness and death. Sedatives include: barbiturates, benzodiazepines, carisoprodol, glutethimide, ketamine (Ketaset®), opioids, opium, and zopiclone. Talk about all antianxiety drugs on this forum.

Alternative for benzos

Hi, I have a substance abuse problem, but I also have severe anxiety. I need some kind of medication for it, and I was needing a non narcotic alternative for xanax, valium, etc. I was hoping that someone could give me some good ideas on this subject. Thanks
