young 13 year old using BC for control of cramps

Hi i am the mother of a 13 year old who has horrid cramps just before her period and most time thru it as well. I am wondering if yaz or some other form of birth control would help control this so she can at least get out of bed in the morning without feeling like she's going to throw up.
