I work as a registered nurse and often draw blood samples from central lines. Sometimes, when blood is drawn, there are white chunks/particles floating around in the sample....can you tell me what these are and what causes them? Thanks!

LOW LEVELS OF HBA1

What does it mean for an infant to have 0% hemoglobin A1, 4% hemoglobin A2, 0% hemoglobin C and 96% hemoglobin F? My is a preemie born at 31 weeks of age and discharged with no complications at 25 weeks. He had a PDA which was cured via ibuprofen.
