Like so many other Viet Vets,I too have a platelet problem.Mine are too high! I've posted on this site a couple of other times,explaining all about my condition(Essential Thrombocytosis) and I wonder why these platelet problems are NOT being addressed,with us in mind?My My local VA says "If it's not on the presumptive list.......then it's not good for a disability benefit"(sorta paraphrased).I'm told that my condition is very rare(by a civilian hematologist/oncologist) but why are there so many other Viet Vets with it,or a variation of it?Hmmmmmm.........What a coincidence,huh?.............What can we do about this?So very very frustrating,to say the least.If possible,I'd appreciate ANY input about this.Thanks everybody.......

Hi Wayne my husband also has Essential Thromobcytosis he was in RAN went to Vietnam, did not know there were other vets with this, can you elaborate further. When I asked the drs about this they said no relationship and they have no idea why he has it.
