About Hypoglycemia

My school friend suffers from diabetes, which she explained earlier is when somebody has a lot of sugar in their blood because their bodies are not producing enough insulin or are not using this insulin properly. The last time I spoke with her, she told me she has hypoglycemia now, which means that...

Possible microvascular complications in diabetes type1 ?

Some rumours say that people with diabetes type 1 are more at risk of microvascular complications. I have a very good friend with diabetes type 1, and I am all worried now! I am not medically qualified in any way, but if you have any links to medical literature, I would really like to see it.

Who takes the most insulin

So I was just curious, who takes the most insulin out there?  Have you been diabetic for a long time or what?  I currently take 35 units at meals plus more of regular if my sugars are higher still.  I wonder if there is anyone that takes insulin like at every meal, at night, and a whole syringe...
