perferated ear bleeding

OK well my step dad got some water in his ear and came up with an ear infection (so he thinks) he put some antipyr/benzocaine ear drops in his ear (wich is perforated) and his ear started bleeding. He refuses to see a doctor. what should he do?? or what could be causing the bleeding??
