Vestibular damage post cholesteatoma surgery

I had surgery 8 months ago for a cholesteatoma and recently had an ENG test for my dizziness. They said it is permanent and nothing can be done. Has anyone heard of anyone else going in for a simple surgery and coming out with Vestibular damage as a result?

My ears have some bony things.

I just recently noticed on the top of my earlobe ,it is getting, those little bony things at the to, what should I do? its my right ear my other one is alright ,I'm not sure what you call that area. I am 77 years and I thought my ears were just getting bigger. I am in good health

Lump behind ear

Just today I noticed a pretty hard lump behind my left ear on the bone. It doesn't hurt unless i press it, but it does feel tight and pressured. there is a high pitch ring in ear have been told not a thing wrong with ears nor with hearing it is not a constant ring just sometimes but it totally causes one to lose all concentration it seems so loud that you expect everyone to be able to hear it then when the high pitch is gone ear hurts a bit...
