How is hip fracture diagnosed?

My mother had a really bad fall this morning. She feels very strong pain. I think that she maybe has a hip fracture. We plan to go to doctor to see what was happened. I’m wondering how is hip fracture diagnosed? Does anybody with experience can tell me that? Thanks!

body brace makes it hard to change shirt

My roommate broke a ton of his ribs and is in a body brace (whole torso front and back). We have so much trouble getting him into a new shirt. We lay him in bed first but it hurts him so much to move him around to get his shirt on. Any ideas or thoughts will be much welcome. Thanks!!!
