Swollen gland in neck. Went for blood tests waiting to see GP with results on Friday. Fear the worse and may have to have more tests. The lump seems to be getting bigger, I keep touching it. It is also painful when I touch it. Could this be lymphatic cancer. I'm 50. Any advise is appreciated.

For the past ten years I have had enlarged,inguinial lymph nodes.Upon first noticing them I showed them to a doc and he said they were probably from a past herpes outbreak.I don't have any change they are about the size of a quarter and when pressed it is PAINFUL!Can you give me some data? o.O
