perimenepause

I am only 38 and have been experience anxiety, panic attacks, irregular periods, IBS, and dizziness since February. I got put on a low dose pill which has only regulated my periods, but nothing else. My friend told me that these could be signs of perimenopause. I think I am young for that. Am I?
