ttc. negative hpt. menses heavy with clots this is not normal for me. could this be an early miscarriage?

How many time should I test on pregnancy test strip?

well I 1 to know my girls to confirm is she pregnant. I test her with the pregnancy test strip once and they said negative. I still dont have confidence with the results in it. so how many time normally we should test on to have 101% confirm and the timing after our first test.
