calcuim and missed periods

I went to see a gynecologist because of the missing periods and he told me that I have to increase intake of calcium, and vitamin K is well, which I can find in vegetables. I would like to know why I need extra calcium. What do missing periods have to do with lack of calcium?

Horrible Period Cramps.HELP!

When I get my period, I have horrible cramps. Like, I'm not embelishing. I throw up, and nothing I do works. Not resting, excersize: nothing. Is there something wrong? My mom doesn't believe they are that bad and I don't want to ask my doctor. Is this okay? What can I do to help with these cramps?
