I went to see a gynecologist because of the missing periods and he told me that I have to increase intake of calcium, and vitamin K is well, which I can find in vegetables. I would like to know why I need extra calcium. What do missing periods have to do with lack of calcium?

Well, I think that the doc realized what causes your missing periods is hormonal imbalance. This same hormonal imbalance may lead to loss of calcium from your bones which can lead to osteoporosis. In order to avoid osteoporosis, you need calcium and vitamin K, which is needed so that your body can absorb calcium into the bone matrix.
