delay in periods after unprotected interoucrse

my girl friend and I had unorotected sex on 17 july. her periods were due on 24 july. she took an i pill between 48-72 hours. her periods havent come yet.3 out of 4 urine pregnancy tests done on 26 july were negative but one was positive. can any one help?? whats causing the delay?
