Heavy abnormal bleeding with pain and clots

I need to know if there is something I can take besides the provera to stop the bleeding. I have been bleeding for over 3 weeks and it is getting worse. I have been to my Dr. and go next week for more tests but the provera is not helping... please help!! :'(
