is heavy BRIGHT red bleeding with clots table spoon size normal? i also had a baby 8 months ago, could things still be clearing them selves out? i am not breast feeding

I am 4 - 5 days late and I took a preg test yesterday and it came back negative. My husband and I had protected sex last night and then today I have been bleeding bright red with dark circle clots. Occasionally during my regular period I will have clots but nothing like this. I don't know what is going on. I was thinking it was implantation bleeding but it seems to heavy and just not right. It's not enough to fill a pad, hardly anything on it, but when I pee or wipe, it is really heavy. Any advise?? Thanks
