My friend is diagnosed with Sjögren's syndrome. I know it mostly affect exocrine glands, but I would like to know if it can affect muscles. Can this syndrome advance to muscle deterioration levels? I am interested in this complication, so I would be grateful to everyone who replies to my post.

I've had multiple scans, x-rays, ultrasounds and ob-gyn visits. The only thing they know is that I'm having back and vaginal spasms. The scans all come out clean.
