Hand arm and finger numbness

My mother is 37 years old. Recently she got a job at a chicken plant and for the last two days she has had no feeling in her left hand and arm besides severe pain. We've tried linement, soaking it in hot water with ach therapy and rubbing for hours. Can anyone help??
