feeling of coating in mouth & on tongue..some burning on tip

I have a feeling of a "coating" in my mouth plus some burning on my tongue when I eat foods or drink liquids that I normally use. i.e., mustard is almost impossible now. Many other foods I have consumed for years now are not pleasant to me because of this. Thanks.
