I'm taking 150mg of Prevacid daily, is it too much?

I started with regular dose which was 30mg, or think so. Now Im taking 150mg of Provacid, daily. As I can remember, Provacid worked for me for some time, but eventually I had to increase dose in order to maintain the same effects. Mostly that was the manner of reaching 150mg of it. Is it too much?
