My husband had stroke six mints ago and now his doctor wants to do him carotid endarectomy. He says that there is a risk of another and this procedure will be a preventive. I am afraid and worried. He is not young anymore, 62 years. What kind procedure is that?

Are there many people out there that have had stable weight after thyroidectomy and synthroid? I will be starting synthroid later this month after my RAI treatment. I have never been on it before. I am really worried about the weight gain that has been discussed.
