Hello, folks. I suffer from MS for quite a while and my doctor would like to introduce Rebif into my therapy. I was wondering whether you are using auto-injector or the syringe for injecting this medication. I would really like to know that. I would appreciate for all your replies. Bye!

Hello. I have been using Rebif for several months. I use it three days a week. Each injection should be 48 hours apart from another. I use syringe. It isn’t complicated to use. Syringes come pre-measured and pre-filled, so you don’t need to mix any solutions before the use. I have no experience with auto-injector. Talk to your neurologist which option is better. Good luck!

I HAVE BEEN USING THE REBIF INJECTOR FOR ABOUT 4 YRS. IT HAS DONE DREADFUL DAMAGE TO MY THIGHS AND HIPS WHERE I INJECT AND I HAVE HAD BAD INFECTIONS AT THE INJECTION SITES. I ALWAYS HAVE REDNESS NO MATTER WHAT I DO, ICE, RUBBING THE SITE AFTEWARD ETC.. ALSO I AM BECOMING INCREASINGLY SENSITIVE TO ALCOHOL(ONLY HAVE 3 GLASSES OF WINE A WEEK), BUT GET HIVES ON MY FACE AND NECK STRAIGHT AFTER. SO I AM GIVING IT UP. I AM ON KLONAPIN AND WELLBUTRIN TOO, SO MAYBE THIS IS ALL A BAD COMBINATION WITH ALCOHOL!
CANT FACE NEEDLES, SO THATS WHY I USE THE INJECTOR. ITS ALL A TRADE OFF REALLY!

Do you ever notice a reaction a few days after alcohol consumption? Over the past two months or so I have been periodically waking up with hives on my face. The most recent was the day after a drink. Then the next day i had a few drinks (was on vacation) and didn't notice anything until 3-4 days later. but, had injected in that time frame. Had an allergy panel already done prior that did not include alcohol, but every food and dander allergen known to man and it showed nothing.
