Well im 9 ,weeks pregnant with my 3rd child i never had bleeding until i had intercourse and im also having mild cramp with red blood but not as much as a period is this normal

What are the risks of amniocentesis?

Hello, folks. I am pregnant. This is my first pregnancy and I am 39 years old. My gynecologist suggests me to do amniocentesis. He says this is an excellent diagnostic procedure for excluding the existence of fetal anomalies. I wonder whether there are risks and what they are. Thank you in advance.
