Shaved my body hair all wrong and now having ingrown hair and bumpy skin on chest and legs

I just got some of these little spot yesterday and I tried Carmex and it made it a lot worse then before so I stopped and started to use this gel type medication called bag balm and it’s starting to work for me but is there any other type of gel or cream that helps
