bloody milk in a cow

We have a cow who has just had a calf about a week ago. She seemed ok but calf is not nursing off back 2 teats. We stripped out the back and the milk has been coming out bloody. This past time it is not as bad. We have called our vet and are waiting for return call. Any ideas what else to do?
