knot in a muscle in my throat, above adam's apple

the other day i developed a knot in a muscle somewhere between my adam's apple and my jaw seemingly out of nowhere. over the following couple days it has gotten more tense and sore. i've tried to massage it out but it's not working.... anyone ever experience anything like this?

over the last few days, it feels like something is slightly swollen inside my throat, and it seems to feel worse in the mornings (because the throat is dry(?)). After i swallow loads of water it seems to be fine after about an hour or so, but I don't know what it is. I have to keep swallowing water...

My adams apple feels swollen I constantly feel like I have to swallow to get whatever is in there to go away. I have no pain or soarness regardless if I swallow or not. I do have swollen lymph nodes.
