No steady increase in my weigth.Is it due to liver promlem?

I've had a total throidectomy and have put on about 20lbs. I am well controlled with Synthroid and am wondering if it is still possible for me to raise my metabolism with diet and exercise, or if only my meds do this now?M5NW28

nausea, lump in throat, fever and stomacheache after surgery

I am one week past parathyroidectomy surgery. but still I am feeling nausea, lump in my throat and fever-99 to 99.5 F and stomachache. one week after the surgery my calcium level is 9.3mg\dl.I am taking tab shelcal 500mg and tab rocaltrol 0.25mcg twice a day.
